Boyer Accepts Challenge of 2010 Dow Corning Tennis Classic He may be a new face for the 22nd running of the Dow Corning Tennis Classic, February 7-14, 2010, but he’s an old hand at the national top 50 Welcome Center, where he was a problem solver, multi-tasker, public relations linguist, and steady under fire.  Meet Ryan Boyer, 25, Assistant Director of the Dow Corning Tennis Classic, a job he says was the career challenge he was seeking. He went right after it by selling himself to Mike Woody, executive director of the Dow Corning Tennis Classic, and of the Midland Community Tennis Center.   Boyer was graduated from CMU with a BS in Sports Management & Health Fitness, and a MA in Business Administration. He has coordinated the housing and volunteer program for the Dow Corning Tennis Classic, and provided administrative support for the event. He joined the staff 2005.   “Ryan will be involved with the over-all operation of the tournament,” said the boss. “His experience with housing and volunteers will be beneficial as he prepares for the 22nd year of the event.
